El Salvador Scholarships St. Andrew’s is actively involved in providing support to a Christian community in El Salvador. Several parishioners have visited the community, “El Zaite,” and have met families there. This ministry started many years ago to help these needy rural families with support and scholarships for the children. (Their government does not provide assistance to them.) We keep in touch with the community and the children for whom we provide scholarships through the community leader by phone, email and regular postal mail. We provide information about the children people sponsor and exchange letters between sponsors and children. Scholarship contributions are always welcome.
CAP (Community Assistance Program) St. Andrew's partners with CAP and Help of Ojai to meet the immediate needs of their clients while helping them achieve long term stability. CAP provides basic needs and case management services for the homeless in the Ojai Valley in addition to daily lunches, laundry, food, employment and referral services to homeless individuals and families. Ojai Valley Family Shelter
The Earth Stewards are an inclusive and collaborative ministry of parishioners concerned with taking care of the natural environment in our homes, church and community. They seek to model, educate and inspire church members to practice living stewardship of the Earth while supporting Vestry and Episcopal Church goals. They also reach out to the community to work with others in projects that will help the needy and spread the concept of Earth stewardship.
Community Garden
Thanks to the vision and elbow grease of St. Andrew's Earth Stewards, St. Andrew's Community Garden is thriving. Vegetables grown from these beds are donated to CAP, so those less fortunate than ourselves may enjoy fresh, organic produce.

AA, Al-Anon, Adult Children of Alcoholics and Overeaters Anonymous hold their meetings on the St. Andrew's campus. The members of these groups extend love and support to each other in difficult times of need. Community Use of Facilities
St. Andrew's offers its facilities to various community groups to gather together. Numerous concerts, spiritual and art related groups have benefited from the use of the facilities.
