Ojai Valley Family Shelter

The mission of the Ojai Valley Family Shelter (OVFS) is to provide advocacy for homeless persons and families in the Ojai Valley of Ventura County, California, including but not limited to the City of Ojai, by encouraging and coordinating efforts to provide shelter and other services for the homeless and those without adequate housing

From December 1 through March 31, OVFS operates an overnight shelter with dinner and breakfast for homeless guests, with an emphasis on women and children.

Member, Ventura County Homeless and Housing Coalition. Shelter site changes nightly during season. Churches donate site space. For location and hours, call the number show below.

Help of Ojai

Help of Ojai combines community and individual resources to respond to the identified unmet basic human needs of individuals in the Ojai Valley community, including seniors, families and youth, with an emphasis on senior citizens. http://www.helpofojai.org/

Food Pantry

Families receive an amount of food sufficient for three days. The products that are given are nutritionally balanced and need a minimum of preservation and preparation. These include tuna, peanut butter, vegetables, fruit, cereal and bread, among other items.
